Terms of Use

Draft version 1.0 · Prepared October 4, 2026

Rules for using SIGMA ELMS for school learning, submissions, communication, and academic records.

1. Accounts and Access

Use only your own school-issued account and provide accurate information. Keep your password and verification codes private. Do not share accounts or access another person's records without authorization.

Report suspected account misuse to the school administrator promptly. Access is intended for authorized students, teachers, and school staff.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the system for authorized educational and school administration activities. Do not upload malware, harass others, impersonate another user, attempt to bypass access controls, or disclose classmates' or teachers' personal information without an appropriate basis.

School conduct policies and fair review procedures should govern responses to misuse. Any restriction of access should include a way to contact the school and resolve the issue.

3. Learning Materials and Uploads

Upload only material you own or are authorized to use. Respect copyright, confidentiality, and the school's file-format and size limits. Access to course materials does not automatically permit public redistribution.

Keep a copy of important submissions and check that your upload completed successfully.

4. Academic Work and AI

Follow your teacher's instructions on collaboration, citations, deadlines, and permitted AI assistance. Do not submit another person's work as your own.

AI-generated explanations or feedback may contain mistakes. Ask your teacher about disputed feedback or grades; AI output should not replace the school's academic review process.

5. Privacy and Availability

The Privacy page explains SIGMA ELMS privacy practices and links to the official school Privacy Policy. Agreeing to these terms is not blanket consent to all processing of student data.

Maintenance or connectivity problems may interrupt access. Contact your teacher or school administrator if an interruption affects a deadline or submission.

6. Questions and Updates

Contact your teacher or school administrator for account, submission, or policy concerns. The school must publish an approved support contact before these terms take effect.

Material changes should be communicated to users, with a new version and effective date. Any acceptance process must be established separately; reading this page does not record agreement.
